When I needed to rent mobility equipment for my Maui vacation, I chose this company because they did not specialize in snorkeling or beach equipment retals. Although they do rent these things, their primary focus is providing equipment for babies and mobility challenged. They had a very large selection of electric scooters and rollators. I rented the Transformer model which, with a touch of a button, folded up into a cube! They also offered a large collection of beach equipment for tamilies as well people with mobility issues. I was even able to even able to rent my oxygen concentrator from them. Everything was delivered and picked up from my resort. From start to finish, my experience was 100% positive. The people were so accommodating, even when I made a mistake which caused their driver to come to my resort multiple times. If you are visiting Maui and have need of medical equipment, I would highly recommend Akamia Mother's and Mobility.

They were great! We rented a crib and baby monitor. Everything was delivered to our hotel in great condition before we even got there and they communicated easily and quickly with us. They double confirmed everything with us and also let us know they successfully picked up the items we had rented(we had to leave early for our plane). They even included a soft blanket with the crib rental and my daughter loved the blanket! This was the easiest and quickest baby item rental we have done! Definitely will be using again when we go back! Mahalo!

Highly recommend Akamai! I rented a mobility scooter for two weeks during our visit to Wailea. Ordering the scooter online was very easy. Akamai delivered the scooter to my hotel and picked it up there as well. Akamai did a great job of keeping me updated on the delivery and pickup via text messages. The scooter worked very well and I had no problems. It was wonderful having a motorized scooter rather than a manual wheelchair, enabling me to zip around the area, the beach path, and my resort easily.

We rented their heavy duty 4 wheel scooter so my husband (325 pounds) and I could enjoy our vacation together. He doesn't walk distances anymore and this scooter works on pavement, grass and packed natural surfaces. We went everywhere we wanted even to Duke's for dinner where he parked it next to table. We went from Westin resort on Ka'anapali beach all the way to Times Supermarket - Honokowai via the seaside boardwalk and sidewalks. We attended the outdoor market at the university near Kahalui on both Saturday's and we looked at all booths! The battery life was great too and so easy to recharge when we got back to our condo at end of day. The unit disassembled and reassembled easily for loading & unloading to/from our rental vehicle. The bellman at condo became very quick at putting it in or taking it out. Also, we could do it alone. Once batteries and seat are lifted off wheel base, the base front wheels could easily be put inside edge of van then we lifted rear and rolled right in. Love that lever on rear that makes it free wheel or lock. We highly recommend getting a scooter from Akamai Mothers & Mobility!
