Maui Mobility Scooter Rentals
Mobility Scooter Rentals Maui
Premium scooter rentals delivered to your Wailea, Kihei, or Kaanapali resort — clean, fully charged, and ready to ride the moment you arrive.
Maui’s resort scene splits across two distinct coastlines — the luxury enclaves of Wailea and Kihei on the south, and the beach walk corridor of Kaanapali, Napili, and Kapalua on the west. Each side calls for different scooter capabilities: South Maui’s steep, rolling hills demand strong climbing power, while West Maui’s flat 5-mile beach walk rewards range and rider comfort. With over 15 years serving Maui visitors from our base on the West Side, we deliver scooters that arrive clean, fully charged, and matched to the terrain of whichever coast you’re staying on.

Mobility Scooters for Maui Vacations
Maui draws more cross-island travelers than any other Hawaiian island. Visitors don’t just stay at their resort — they hit the beach walks, ferry between coastlines, catch whale watching tours in winter, and venture out for day trips to Haleakala, Iao Valley, or the Road to Hana. The right scooter unlocks all of it.
South Maui: Wailea & Kihei
The luxury enclaves of Wailea are home to the Grand Wailea, Four Seasons, Fairmont Kea Lani, Andaz Maui, and Marriott Wailea Beach Resort. The 1.5-mile paved Wailea Beach Path connects these resorts along the oceanfront and is fully accessible — perfect for sunset cruises and excellent whale watching from November through May. A heavy-duty scooter with strong climbing power handles Wailea’s hilly terrain best, especially the slopes between the oceanfront resorts and the Shops at Wailea.
In Kihei, the flatter terrain along South Kihei Road connects condos, beach parks, and casual oceanfront dining. A lightweight or foldable scooter is portable enough to load into a rental car for trips down to Makena Beach or up to the Maui Ocean Center.
West Maui: Kaanapali, Napili & Kapalua
The famous Kaanapali Beach Walk stretches 5 miles round-trip along the shoreline, passing the Hyatt Regency, Marriott Maui Ocean Club, Westin Maui, Whalers Village shopping center, and the Sheraton at Black Rock. The walkway is fully paved and largely flat — ideal for any scooter type, but a lightweight or heavy-duty model with comfortable seating shines on the full out-and-back ride. Whalers Village restaurants and shops are all accessible directly from the beach walk.
Further north, Kapalua and Napili resorts like the Montage, Ritz-Carlton Maui, and Napili Kai sit along quieter coastline. The Kapalua Coastal Trail mixes paved sections with rugged boardwalks and lava rock — a heavy-duty scooter with rear suspension performs best here. Best access is from the North entrance at D.T. Fleming Beach Park, which offers a smoother, step-free start.
Whale Watching Season (November–May)
Maui is the premier whale watching destination in Hawaii, and humpback whales are visible directly from both the Wailea Beach Path and Kaanapali Beach Walk during peak season. Both paths are fully scooter-accessible, making whale watching one of the most popular outings for Maui visitors with mobility needs.
Day Trips & Cross-Island Adventures
Maui’s signature attractions — Haleakala National Park, the Road to Hana, Iao Valley State Park, and historic Lahaina Town — are all within driving distance of either coast. A foldable scooter that fits in a rental car trunk gives you the flexibility to bring mobility support with you wherever the day takes you.
Cruise Ship Arrivals at Kahului Harbor
Cruise passengers arriving at Kahului Harbor often need same-day scooter rentals for shore excursions. Akamai Mobility’s West Side base allows for fast turnaround for cruise visitors heading to Lahaina, Kaanapali, or other West Maui destinations, with full-day rentals available so you can disembark, explore, and return without rushing.
