Further north, Kapalua and Napili resorts like the Montage, Ritz-Carlton Maui, and Napili Kai sit along quieter coastline. The Kapalua Coastal Trail mixes paved sections with rugged boardwalks and lava rock — a heavy-duty scooter with rear suspension performs best here. Best access is from the North entrance at D.T. Fleming Beach Park, which offers a smoother, step-free start.

Whale Watching Season (November–May)

Maui is the premier whale watching destination in Hawaii, and humpback whales are visible directly from both the Wailea Beach Path and Kaanapali Beach Walk during peak season. Both paths are fully scooter-accessible, making whale watching one of the most popular outings for Maui visitors with mobility needs.
